Meantime Brewery
London might be home to many independent breweries, but Meantime Brewing Company has earned something of a reputation in the craft beer world. Tucked away near the waterfront, the brewery creates a number of different IPAs and lagers to suite all taste buds.
Head straight to the Tasting Rooms to sample a pint alongside their hearty pub grub. If you want to learn more about the beer process, you can take a tour of the brewery, including tutored tasting sessions. Or book yourself on one of the masterclasses, from beer and cheese nights to a ‘Meet the Brewer’ tour.

Royal Observatory
Living in Greenwich means you’ll be at the home of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Part of the Royal Museums, the Royal Observatory makes for a fascinating day trip, whatever your age. Journey through space and time at the Observatory’s mix of exhibitions, museum displays, and daily shows in the Peter Harrison Planetarium.

Greenwich Park
Green spaces aren’t always easy to find in London. Luckily, Greenwich is home to the enormous 74-hectares Royal Park, Greenwich Park. As one of the largest parks in south-east London, it’s the perfect spot to escape the bustle of the city.
Kick-start your running routine or take in the views over London’s skyline at one of the best dog-walking spots in the capital. It’s also the ideal picnicking or reading spot over the summer months. You’ll find the Royal Observatory here, as well as a flower garden, deer park, and the Pavillion Café.
Greenwich Peninsula Golf Driving Range
You don’t have to leave the city to find a golfer’s haven. Nestled among London’s skyscrapers and docklands, the Greenwich Peninsula Golf Driving Range offers an alternative venue to practise your skills.
The driving range has 60 bays that you can rent out for an hour. You can even hire clubs or buy kit in the shop if you don’t have your own. The venue also offers lessons to help you hone your abilities, whether you’re a beginner or already a pro. If you’d rather shrug off the serious side of golfing, try the range’s CrazyPutt Adventure Golf instead. After a long day on the green, you can enjoy a drink and a bite to eat at the Vinothec Compass restaurant.

Greenwich Vintage Market
If you love all things vintage, Greenwich Vintage Market offers a weird and wonderful mix of retro-inspired clothing, jewellery, music, antiques and homeware. Find a unique trinket to deck out your apartment, a classic leather-bound book for your shelves, or your favourite vinyl.
There are plenty of street-food vendors too, so you won’t go hungry while you browse the stalls. Expect live music and plenty of wine flowing.

The O2 Arena
Having one of the UK’s biggest events venues right on your doorstep is certainly a perk to living in Greenwich. The O2 Arena at Peninsula Square plays host to everything from gigs and music festivals to stand-up comedy and sporting events.
You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to the events calendar. But, that’s not all the Arena has to offer. Eltham Palace
Enjoy a touch of glamour by visiting the English Heritage site Eltham Palace, just a short train ride from central Greenwich. Although the palace began as a Tudor royal residence and was often visited by Henry VIII, its transformation is wonderful. This sprawling mansion now encapsulates 1930s Art Deco.
Wander the lavish rooms designed by Stephen and Virginia Courtauld, taking a glimpse into their extravagant lifestyle. Or explore the majestic grounds, which include a rose garden and the palace’s original moat. At the end of the day, buy yourself a touch of Art Deco for your apartment from the shop.
